I ordered takeout after a long day and the food was way too salty. The black pepper chicken was rubbery and honestly the way it tasted, I am skeptical to try another Chinese restaurant in this area. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 2

It is hard to understand the several poor reviews for the food at this restaurant. While it is not high-end gourmet Chinese, it is way above average for a local Chinese restaurant with delivery. Especially in Ashburn where there are not many great options. I have ordered extensively from the Yelp menu -- once per week for about a year now. Among the appetizers, I can recommend the Steamed Dumplings, the Spare Ribs, and the Crab Rangoon. Among the soups, the Wonton Soup is adequate and the Hot & Sour Soup is good. The Pork Fried Rice is very good. The House Special version of the Egg Foo Young is surprisingly good, but not for everyone's taste. Always very good as main dishes are the Shrimp Lo Mein, Moo Shu Chicken, Crispy Beef, and General Tso Chicken. Even the diet version of Chicken with Steamed Vegetables is quite good. Beyond the food, the delivery is always prompt and correct. Stop complaining and enjoy Hunan Cafe!
