Used to go to this place HUNDREDS of times before moving, but whenever we visit, ALWAYS WE COME HERE. This place is the BEST. Recommend the steamed dumplings, ribs, and the egg roll for appetizers, though the best is the dumplings. For entree, the general tsao chicken is always the best and never disappoints. Service is not bad, pretty average, except I’ve seen many bad reviews about the owner being mean, but to us, she is so nice!!! Atmosphere is great, and will be coming back as many times as I visit!!! 1000000/10 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection, Vegetarian menu or section, Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: LARGE VEGGIE SECTION, very good if vegetarian! Dietary restrictions: Probably avoid if vegan because I’m not sure about the oil, but anything else should be ok

Food was subpar. So I had the Broccoli and shrimp(which wasn’t terrible), shrimp egg foo young(over cooked flavorless and had a shell)and chicken wings(which came out pinkish and I was only given flats) Waiter was pretty attentive and the atmosphere was somewhat traditional. Overall 2.5 stars. Put down the salt and add some love to the dishes! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $40–50 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Whatever you do DON'T dine at Hunan Spring on Morris Ave. in Springfield NJ. They've gone extremely downhill with Terrible service and the food is expensive and poorly prepared. I got food poisoning there last time and I'll make sure the board of health is called. They need to be held accountable for serving poorly prepared food. I was deathly ill throwing up 5 times and tons of diarrhea. Food was disgusting. This is no way to run a restaurant especially when they're no longer busy like they once were. In closing I simply say a big buzz off to HUNAN SPRING SPRINGFIELD NJ! It's as if they don't want my business. NO PROBLEM I won't be back.
