What to say? As a 5.45 Thursday walk in, we thought a table would not be a problem, but they were fully booked! Thankfully, the window seating and a polite advice that the space was required back by 7.00, and we were off and running. The burata with red pepper and pesto, the best calamari ever, and the nduja pizza were all beautifully prepared and presented, and the wine recommendation was perfect. Easy to see why this place was packed out. Italian authenticity at its very best. Our experience in I Ragazzi was incredible. The food was absolutely beautiful. We tried the focaccia, the special sausage of the day, and the squid as entrees. For mains we had the pappardelle with duck ragu, a pasta with fish and pistachio pesto, and pizza a la puttanesca. The homemade pasta was lovely and the pizza crust was just perfect. Everything was super tasty and the service was excellent I would definitely recommend this place The only downside is that it is a bit overpriced, as are many Italian restaurants in Geelong.
