We recently visited India Restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing compared to what we remembered from a few years ago. The appetizers were the best part of the meal. We tried the lamb chops, which were very good, along with paneer paratha and samosas, which we enjoyed. However, the main course was a big disappointment. The naan basket was probably the worst part—all the naans were completely cold and soggy when served. The mutton curry was bland and the meat did not seem fully cooked, as it was very chewy. I’m also not sure whether it was actually goat or lamb, because the taste was more like lamb. The paneer jalfrezi was just okay, but overall, the flavors were nowhere close to what we remembered. The price was also high in compare to food taste. This is especially disappointing because a few years ago the food here was excellent. I have driven almost 200 miles several times specifically to eat at this restaurant and enjoy the beaches in Rhode Island. Unfortunately, based on this visit, the quality and taste seem to have gone down significantly. I really wanted to enjoy this place again because of our past experiences, but after this meal, I can no longer recommend it. I hope the restaurant takes the feedback seriously and brings back the quality of food that made it worth such a long drive in the past.
