To start with we were the only people in the restaurant. We disturbed the server who was on her phone behind the bar. She was not impressed at being disturbed and was most unwelcoming. A cold night and we, along with customers arriving after us, sat with our outdoor coats on throughout the meal. My husband enjoyed his chicken mango but my chow mein with chicken and vegetables was more than disappointing. The chicken was at least twice cooked with a texture similar to cardboard. The vegetables were non-existent although I was told cabbage was in the dish. I certainly couldn't find it. They did bring me a small side of slaw ingredients, which brightened up the chow mein somewhat. I also asked for soy sauce to try to give the chow mein some flavour. This was the worst chow mein I've ever come across. My husband ordered a particular beer and was brought something else. Sadly, for people trying to run a successful business, these folks were badly let down by their front of house and their chow mein chef. I wish them well but I will not be returning to this restaurant. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: NZ$70–80 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

The naan is larger than my head. The curries were fabulous. I stole so much mukhwas that their likely going to go out of business soon. Seriously it's pouring out of my pockets and filling up my car and it's all going to be so sticky if I don't eat them now. If I die, know that I died happy, having eaten at "Indian and Nepalese Kitchen". Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Take out Meal type: Dinner

Best Indian/Nepalese food I've had outside of India or the UK. The spices are fantastic, the portions enough to fill a hungry stomach! The staff are so friendly and accomodating. I'd highly recommend this delivery/take out food provider. Definitely worth the money and a place I've re-ordered from weekly since I've lived in Oamaru. I pride myself on my own Indian cuisine, but when time is an issue and I want delicious food quickly, I'll always go to Indian & Nepalese Kitchen for a good meal.
