The restaurant owner is a very business-minded person. However, for our taste he overbooks the tables, which is of course good for his finances, but bad for the restaurant visitors who are thinking of a cozy end to a beautiful day with good food in friendly surroundings. We had arranged to meet our Persian friends at the ceramics market and then invited them to dinner at Turmeric. The food we ordered was solid (could have been a little spicier), the staff was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was appealing. But, just as we were debating whether we should allow ourselves a dessert and/or digestif after an espresso, the waiter came with our bill and we were asked to vacate the table we had reserved because the guests were the ones, so to speak "Follow-up reservation" would have already arrived. We were horrified and the situation was terribly embarrassing for our friends who we had invited. Finally we stood outside the door to end our interrupted conversation with kind words and an apology regarding the lack of style in our chosen restaurant. But our decision is clear, we will never enter this restaurant again and we cannot recommend it to anyone else. The food can be so good and the service can be so friendly. We only know something like this from the States, where it is customary for the bill to come straight after the meal because you have the drinks in a bar. But even there they would have at least given us the chance for dessert. A little anecdote at the end: The guests at the next table, who were just as "cleared" as we were, took it with ironic humor. They came out of the restaurant shortly after us and noticed us laughing our direction “Next please!” Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €30–40 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Das Kurkuma 400° ist ein super Restaurant in Paderborn. Wir haben schon öfter essen bestellt welches auch immer super lecker bei uns ankam, allerdings ist es nochmal was anderes vor Ort zu essen. Man kann einen Blick in die Küche werfen. Sie ist in einer Ecke des Restaurants etwas angehoben und mit Plexiglas oder normalen Glas abgetrennt. Der Service war überaus freundlich, geduldig bis wir uns entschieden hatten und zuvorkommend. Alles in allem werden wir weiterhin gerne etwas bestellen und auch bestimmt 2023 zeitnah wieder einen Besuch vor Ort planen. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
