I stopped by Insomnia cookies while I was in Boulder and followed the instructions to place an order via the app. I've been to Insomnia cookies many times and in a couple different states, and I've never had an issue, although I know that the pandemic has caused some changes. I attempted to order a cookie wich with ice cream and icing, which I've done before. (The cookie wich with icing wasn't even on the website or app, only the ice cream.) I had attempted to ask an employee who was walking out of the store if I could place an order with him, but he directed me back to the app. I then at this point attempted to call and place my order directly over the phone, and the representative couldn't even find the option for icing (which I would've settled for at this point) so I just scrapped my order. I get safety, I understand wanting to make things easy via the app, but ordering cookies shouldn't be this difficult, and it's left a bad taste in my mouth. I love Insomnia cookies, but it's sucks that the ordering process has become something this difficult. I feel petty for even posting this review, but it bums me out that your development team has made something as simple as this, difficult.
