Nice Chill out atmosphere, enjoyed the music. The food seems a bit on the higher price, but the quantity is big and it’s really tasty! The Italian sandwich was huge and the best sandwich I ate recently, so fresh and juicy! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20

If you decide to visit the Ottawa Art Gallery and are tempted to grab a coffee at Jackson Café on the first floor, think carefully: are you ready to wait — and I mean really wait — while the barista chats with everyone around, discusses what seems to be all the important events of the day, and only then finally starts preparing your order? The location is lovely, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the coffee is genuinely good. The service, however, could politely be described as needing improvement. It may be best to arrive not only with a craving for coffee, but also with plenty of time, patience, and perhaps a small snack for the wait. As they say in Canada: no worries!
