The first time we went it was the best hibachi experience I've ever had but sadly a few months it was followed up by the worst. I messaged the restaurant on social media about how utterly terrible the dining experience was the second time. They responded briefly but never followed through unfortunately and as I had told them if they offered no recompense for such a poor experience then I'd leave a negative review and never return. Here the highlights - asking for our drink and appetizer orders without ever providing a menu We had to ask the other patrons to pass the menu around the table - not a big deal by itself The drinks were awful. My girlfriend took one sip and couldn't drink anymore and I almost had to will myself to finish mine which was in stark contrast to the first time we went. The staff checked in us once but otherwise I literally had to get up two separate times to ask about things of which were our appetizers they just completely forgot. The chef was so slow and mediocre each portion of the hibachi was cooked at a time waiting excruciatingly for the next. My dessert was done and eaten before we finished half the hibachi and then he just forgot parts that are standard like I think egg etc and none of the entertainment It was the slowest, most underwhelming in both entertainment and flavor hibachi I have ever experienced. We went there excited to go back for another date night and left extremely frustrated and never wanting to go back. Japan Wests response was to essentially ghost me after the few first messages so if you don't want to risk having the worst and potentially most mediocre hibachi night you can fathom I'd go anywhere else decent.
