We had a wonderful three-course dinner at Java Tree. We were served by Esther, who was incredibly friendly and always nearby whenever we needed anything. A big compliment to her! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A Tragic Disappointment for a 5-Star Setting For a restaurant located within a 5-star hotel in a renowned foodie destination, the experience at Java Tree was remarkably poor. Despite dining on a Friday night, the room felt empty and lacked any atmosphere; the windows are frosted over, stripping away any potential view and leaving the space feeling isolated and quiet. The Food The meal felt reminiscent of mass-catered food at a large-scale conference. Vegetable Tart: While the ratatouille was fine, the puff pastry was subpar. Chicken Fricassee: This was the biggest letdown. It was overly rich and served suspiciously hot—on a scorching plate—suggesting it had been microwaved. The carrots were rubbery, and the dish was so poor I simply couldn't eat it. Dessert: Lacked any discernible flavor. The Service The service was entirely indifferent. There was no inquiry into whether we were enjoying our meal, and I had to refill our own wine and water glasses multiple times by fetching the carafe from a central table as there were no waitstaff to be seen in the room. It is disappointing for venue of this caliber. There are far better culinary experiences to be found in this town. Meal type: Dinner Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
