The beef dumplings were gummy on the outside and fairly bland even with the sauce. The vegetable dumplings had terrible filling. The service was okay but was slow. All the food was microwaved then fried. You could clearly hear the microwave in the kitchen and taste it in the food. The looks of the place is not inviting and had random black paint on the wall and there was pictures of the food everywhere and very messy layout. I would not visit again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

The restaurant was empty at 12 noon. BIG red flag, and I should have listened to the red flag. I've wanted to try this place for a while now, so I had the Beef and noodle soup. What was served was not fresh, I should've just made myself a beef flavored ramen package from Walmart for 6o cents. Will not be back to this place. I have no idea how this place has a 4.4 rating. SMH. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

This place is the epitome of a mom and pop shop with literally mom and pop. The Mandarin-style food is simple but excellently prepared and delicious. We had minced pork with cucumber slivers over noodles, pork and leek steamed dumplings, and beef with scallion pie. All were beautifully done and portions were large at a very fair price. Service was kind and attentive. This is not your typical Americanized Cantonese-based Chinese cuisine--it's wonderful to find diversity in the Chinese food available here in the Old Pueblo. Jewel's Noodle kitchen is a gem that adds breadth to Tucson's title of City of Gastronomy!
