Every time I come to Hua Hin, one place I always have to visit is Jim-Dang Restaurant. The food here is just unbelievably good full of flavor, fresh seafood, and that authentic local Thai taste that’s getting harder to find these days. I’ve been coming here since the restaurant was still just a small local shack, and it’s amazing to see how loved the place has become over the years. No matter which festival or holiday season I visit Hua Hin, this restaurant is always on my list. One dish you absolutely shouldn’t miss here is the creamy Wing Bean Salad (Yum Kratin). Unlike the spicy traditional versions, this one is rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced with fresh herbs and crunchy wing beans. The creamy dressing gives the dish a comforting texture while still keeping that refreshing Thai flavor. It’s light, delicious, and completely different from the squid in black ink dishes the restaurant is also famous for. Another must-try dish here is the squid in black ink. It’s absolutely delicious rich and flavorful without being overly greasy like many other places. The black ink sauce is beautifully seasoned with its own unique taste, making the dish both savory and memorable. Everything tastes homemade, honest, and full of heart. Even when the restaurant is busy, the quality and service never drop. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, and you can really feel the warmth and care they put into everything. The staff are also wonderful friendly, attentive, and always making sure everyone feels comfortable and happy. It’s more than just a restaurant to me it feels like part of my Hua Hin memories. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic local Thai seafood with amazing atmosphere and genuinely lovely people.
