Sweet California bum, bum, bumGood times never seemed so good. So good so good! Every last bite was delicious. From the pancakes to the sausage, to the eggs and toast galore. Best stop off the highway ever and worth every last peso. Will come again! Oh did I mention they have a drive thru too? You won’t regret this little stop I promise! I'll start off with saying the food can be better than the slew of fast food joints located on this strip of The Old Rd. Unfortunately, on this trip the Philly Cheese Steak was horrible. There was a lot of grizzle, and the cubed chunks of meat had a particularly unpleasant odor. I should have just ordered the tried and true Ortega Burger.

Ok... first stop during today's photo shoot since Jimmy Dean's was right off the road, close to my location and i was in the mood for charbroil. I decided drive-thru since this was going to be a quick lunch. I ordered a cheesebuger, fries and a drink. The total cost is $12.35. The burger was $6.19 and $5.09 to make it a combo. Definitely on the pricy side. Let's see what we get. The drive thru was quick (only 2 cars in front of me) I arrived at the window, the drive-thru attendant could have been more inviting... but we all have our days. I paid for my order and drove off. In looking at my food, it didn't look anything special. To be honest, I expected a thinker patty for the price (see my photos) but on the positive side I received lots of greens ;D The fries were hot and not bad tasting- although I remember Jimmy Dean's having steak fries (?) It's shoestring fries now. So overall not a bad experience, the food hit the spot and now I'm on my way. As for the charbroiled taste it, was OK not the best. If you're a fan of Jimmy Dean's then you will enjoy this place. Word to management, have a conversation with your employees about friendly, happy, service! We love it! We really do!! Also... clean up the restrooms! Yikes!
