Craving Pastrami I'm glad we went here. Their pastrami is top notch yummy. Just enough fat and generous servings. Ordered their classic pastrami dip and ate half - the other half I brought home, reheated the next day and it was still just as good. The place itself is small and old with an outdoor sitting haphazardly attached to it. It feels like a shack, which can be part of its appeal. There are "duke boxes" on the table though I don't know if it works. Our server felt like she's been the forever and was so nice and quick. For 2 people who both had the pastrami dip, a beer and a root beer plus onion rings our bill came out to to $72 including tip.....a bit pricey for a cool shack.

Was passing through Culver City and decided to try Johnnie's Pastrami as I remember it being the best pastrami spot around. We were confused on how to exactly order so we ended up just grabbing a booth and ordering with a waitress. For food we got the half-pastrami french dip and the full pastrami on rye. We also ordered both with Swiss added however it was unfortunately forgotten on both. The pastrami was definitely delicious. Nice and hot. Perfect with some mustard added. For the bread I would definitely recommend the french roll over the rye. Overall it was nice to stop by, but the price point is just way too high even for LA. Two messed up orders doesn't help either (we almost got charged for the add ons).
