Was not impressed. Got sat down, took waitress a few minutes to come over. We were ready to order right away. She took our order, took a while to even get our drinks, ice water, then we waited 45 minutes for our food. My husband’s food was dry and overcooked. I didn’t get what I ordered, but, she said that was what I ordered. So I just ate it. Only 1/2 of it, nothing to write home about. Couple came in and sat close by and got food within 10 minutes. Also, our waitress kept disappearing. We left what we owed on the table and left. No tip. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20

Our first time at J's Pub & Grill. Glad that we decided to stop. We had just left the International Crane Foundation in Baraboo and wanted to get away from tourist places close to that area. We had seen reviews of J's and the menu looked great. Definitely will come back if in the area. We were having a late lunch and we were greeted and seated by Chef J. Nice young man! The food and drinks were very good, the Raspberry Mule and Peach Sangria were yummy. The Reuben was very good as was the Mushroom Truffle Burger. Our server, Samantha was very attentive and friendly. We made good on our promise to come back to J's when we were back in the area. This time we had the Fish Fry. Mine was Panko crusted and my wife had her's, broiled with butter crumb. Both meals were very good and our server, Joana, not sure of the spelling, was an absolute delight. Attentive, friendly and a great personality. We'll keep coming back, no doubt!
