Been coming to Jubans for nearly 40 years for great food and service whenever in Baton Rouge. As the restaurant has grown larger over the years it has lost a little of the quiet, luxurious ambience it once had, but it is still an outstanding culinary experience. Wife must have the Hallelujah Crab entrée every time we go, a signature dish here for decades. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Went here for the first time, past Friday, and the dinner was amazing. It was a pre-wedding dinner. I had the Redfish Adrian. The vegetable sides were even fabulous. We could have ate an entire plate of just those and been fine. As for the ambience, it's excellent. What shocked me, was the price I paid for the beverage. Bourbon is my main choice, no matter where. I'm aware that some brands come with a hefty cost. However, when the drink itself cost the price of a bottle that you normally purchase, then it's hard not to be "wowed". On top of this, that one drink came with an added group gratuity, lol. Maybe I was mistakenly given a higher tier of the same brand, but I doubt it. I ordered what I normally buy from Total Wine, and online wine & spirit sellers. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

My husband and I visited Jubans Restaurant & Bar for lunch on a Wednesday for the first time. It's located in a Strip-Mall but you will be taken aback by the decor and atmosphere once you enter the establishment. We ate at the Lunch Room's bar being we had no reservations, and yea you probably need a reservation even during lunch. The entire bar is decorated by themes. The night bar and dinner room is decorated with dark rich plush velvets, chandeliers and gold trims throughout. Very Gatsby like but is not open during the lunch hours. The lunch room was a bit different . Very well lit, Pinks and Blues sprayed throughout as if you are at a Garden Baby Shower. The guest are the who's who's or who's who want to bees. The food was beyond amazing. They offer a boudin dip, and is hands down the best appetizer on any coast. The staff are respectful and professional. Jubans doesn't make so much on the food as they do the liquor. You will pay $21 dollars for one glass of wine that you would normally pay $40 for the whole bottle. Their demographics don't seem to mind. As far as attire, dress well for lunch and dinner. You'll see high end designer bags on every table with heels and appropriate coverage with high fashion designer pieces. I was the only one in the entire restaurant with my hair up and in flats. ♀️They are under new management from an outside company that seems to be doing well with the re-decor and vibe as well as food.For layman's terms:It's Fancy.
