This place was recommended by my local taxi driver...it did not disappoint. Went there for breakfast carnitas and came back to try the rest of the menu. The grilled meats were *amazing*. We sampled pork ribs, flanken style beef ribs and plain chicken - everything was delicious. Moist, flavorful, well seasoned. Had everything "plain" and didn't take advantage of the various sauces (saving that for next time). Generous portions for the price. Not cheap by local standards, but not expensive, either. Delicious agua frescas and some of the best horchata I have ever had. Staff was efficient and friendly. Tables and bathrooms clean. Chairs solid and comfortable. We went on Sunday and had a local singer for entertainment (music wasn't too loud and the singer was great). Arrived at 10:30AM on a Sunday, line outside the dining room. 15 minute wait and was absolutely worth it. Locals only (we were the only foreigners)...but we were treated very well. They don't speak English, but none of that mattered. Menu was obvious and pointing works well. The carnitas were some of the best I have ever eaten. Handmade tortillas. Condiment service was generous and varied. Pickles onions were my favorite. Can't express my satisfaction sufficiently.... Was just so freakin' good. Some of the best meats I have ever eaten. They should specify when entering that if you pay by card they charge you a 2% commission, as well as ask that if you are going to require an invoice, it is the cost plus VAT, not that they are rude when asking for the invoice after you have paid, because because they are not fortune tellers if you first warn the client Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
