Hands down the best place in DC! The calamari unbelievable; the burger.. order two cocktails prepared to perfection! The owner is truly passionate about making sure the customers are treated like family. The atmosphere is relaxing w a touch of spice -,ask for Melissa- she is a gem! Robbing groups for a mediocre experience. Celebrated a friend’s birthday with their brunch. Our group of 7 was charged at 20 percent large party fee in addition to the automatic 20% gratuity. We ate outside which was on a cute patio that includes a bar. The service was bad. We immediately ordered a couple bottles of champagne and it took over 20 minutes for it to come when we saw it sitting at the bar. When we reminded the waiter about our order she gave an attitude and kept on for the remainder of the meal. We were not checked on after the food arrived. There were errors in some of the orders, as some dishes were not as were described on the menu or as the waitress described. The best item was the homemade chicken sausage. Paying 40% on top of our food and tax was criminal. The additional 20% was not disclosed to us until the bill came and was no where included when the reservation was made. For a large party fee, I would expect extra attention to our party and when we received the opposite. I will not be back. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: USD 70–80 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
