It was an amazing experience! Everything was very fresh and delicious. Big variety of fish. The Portuguese Chef with experience from Japan was very attentive and kind. I would definitely come back. Interesting and maybe important to know before going is that Chef doesn’t serve salmon (mainly because “it can be contaminated with various bacteria and our focus is on local fish”). Important if your kids only eat salmon. We didn’t miss salmon so much, due to a big variety of fish. Always important to reserve, for dinner you need to reserve around 2 months in advance, while for lunch you can be lucky and get a spot within 2-3 days. Really recommend this place. A unique, refined and absolutely delicious experience. The chef prepares the dishes served before our eyes and explains them to us, always ready to answer our questions. The service is very attentive. We tasted a 9-course Kaiseki menu with each flavor carefully researched, and we were won over! A truly excellent experience, with superb food - done with the freshest of ingredients -, great care with the presentation, diverse and amazing pairings, and very friendly staff that always explains the dishes to detail. Given the choice of the Kaiseki menu (the longest tasting menu), pace is a very important point to be addressed, and here it is studied to perfection. The setting of Kanazawa is simple and minimalist, and the existence of only 8 seats creates an intimacy that adds value to the experience. The high price is justified by the uniqueness of the meal.
