Popped in after a full day of doing a tasting North Park! Kin Len was not partaking in the foodie tour but I decided to come to enjoy some street eats. My friend and I decided to split some things as we wanted to keep it light. We had a Tom Yum theme going on with our Tom Yum fries, chicken wings, and Tom Yum Noodle pork Ribs! The fries were lightly dusted with the powder and topped with fried basil leaves. They use regular thin French fries and they were crispy! The chicken wings were so flavorful and were my favorite here! This would pair nice with beer but my soju was nice with it too. The chicken skin was thin and fried to a golden crisp and coated again with that Tom Yum powder. The noodle soup had a limey base and had lots of crushed peanuts, bean sprouts, and ground pork. They use a medium cut egg noodle for the dish and it was heartwarming with the tender pork ribs. I enjoyed everything we tried at Kin Len and I like the overall cozy and casual vibe for a dinner here. The service from our waiter Jason was extremely helpful as he gave us all the great recommendations!

This place is sooo good! My friend recommended this spot for a quick dinner. We got there on a Friday night around 7 and there was no wait to be seated. The restaurant is cute with plenty of convenience-store type of decor. We ordered the fried enoki mushrooms, khao soi, and chicken fried rice. The enoki mushrooms were soooo good, I would come back just for that. The khao soi and chicken fried rice were also really good, no complaints :) the 3 dishes came out to around $45. I will definitely visit again when in the area!

Kin Len - Thai Street Eats is a nice addition to the neighborhood with their small cafe and friendly staff. One might think that they will provide competition for the other establishes I like such as Soi 30th, White Elephant, and Street side Thai Kitchen...but on my first visit, these places don't have to worry about Kin Ken. Personal Background: I luv watching shows about native foods, the story of the people and history. There's a show on Netflix called Street Eats that I really like. I say this because it's sometimes hard for me to know if I'm eating authentic food so if I'm not certai, I ask the staff. I did that today at Kin Len and the response was satisfactory. This made me re-think that it's OK not to luv something that is authentic. What I liked: The Thai Ice Tea was refreshing on a cool night, and it didn't have the usuall over-sweetness of most Thai Ice Teas. The Crab Rangoon Cider Roll was tasty as I think for once, there was real crab in the roll, at least that's the smell and taste that I got from eating it. What I didn't like: I wanted to try something new so I ordered the Thai Stew Beef Noodle Soup. The thought of comsuming a comfort food sounded appealing and unfortunately, there was no comfort for me. The reason is that the soup had no flavor, bland. I couldn't detect any sesoning. I asked the waiter if this was done in the traditional way. He asked someone in back then the other waiter came out and asked me about the soup. She seemed to indicate that it was the way the chef wanted it...didn't address my question but that's OK as she offered to take it back and make me something else. That second entree was the Pad Thai. I've eaten this dish for 3 decades and I know what I like about it. The noodles need some firmness without being sticky. The flavor should center around a sweet-savory fusion. Salty, nutty, with a slightly sweet sauce. Their concotion was none of these. The noodles were limp and not held together by the sauce. It had a strong lemon smell & taste. Will I give it a second try...maybe but it's going to be a long while til they get comfortable.
