Quality of food was a letdown as well... The takoyaki was definitely the frozen kind and everything was super oily. Especially the Nasuden - it was really hard to eat. White bait was pretty salty and oily as well, got sickening after a while.
The sashimi tacos were ok, they had rice at the bottom and a sashimi salmon mix. Tasted like sushi in a taco.
The mains took a really long time to come out too. My partner had the Wagyu beef - he said this was actually pretty nice and the serving was quite generous compared to what we have had in the past. Nice, tender and juicy. I had the teriyaki kingfish tempura. This was ok too, I was getting pretty stuffed at this point but it had good flavour and fish was fresh.
Overall, it was an ok dinner. Service was good but food (especially mains) came out awfully slow (there was around a 20-30 minute gap between entrees and mains). I will miss mihana that’s for sure! Given the abundance of other Japanese restaurants in the area, I think I’ll have to give this one a miss.
