We live in the neighbourhood and this is where we stopped by getting sweet treats whenever we go for groceries shopping. This is the second time we got takeout, I have the soft bone pork ramen and my daughter Hayashi Rice. We love it. Ramen are usually too salty for my palate but this place is perfect. I can see that some people who I’m used to heavy seasoning might find their food a bit bland, but it’s perfect for us. For sure we will go again. Tried Kitaya Japanese Takeout and grabbed three drinks: the Matcha Candy Latte, Tiramisu Brûlée Latte, and a Hot Yuzu Honey Tea. Honestly, the Matcha Candy Latte was super tasty, smooth and it is a bit overly sweet for me personally, really good matcha flavour. The Yuzu Honey Tea was also lovely, super comforting and refreshing at the same time. The Tiramisu Brûlée Latte didn’t really do it for me though, I was hoping for more of that dessert-y tiramisu or brûlée flavour, but mostly just got the espresso (which was decent, to be fair). Overall, two out of three drinks were great, and I’d definitely come back to try more from the menu! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
