David, our bartender and server, was exceptionally kind, attentive, and welcoming. He set the tone for a smooth start to what was a long day of travel. Service was prompt, and he checked in thoughtfully throughout our visit. He was also happy to walk us through the menu and offered well-considered recommendations. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Speedy delivery, savory fare, and attentive service are what an airport traveler hopes for at airport restaurants and at Kitchen Step you will find it, even if the prices might be higher than what you’d expect outside. My beet was as should be expected and it was fresh and hearty. The salmon dish is quite good, served hot, as fish should be. It was also crispy, which is how I like salmon. My soda was refilled for free — thank goodness! Plus my server did so without asking. One particularly important aspect of the restaurants that there are seats. I find that in the a A terminal the seating can be lacking, and in some of the restaurants the seating is tight. So at Kitchen Sep you get the luxury of space. Im sitting one shop over as I write this review, drinking a coffee and seated at a much better establishment. Kitchen Step will throw you out if you buy just a coffee, like I attempted to do. I cant eat food before a flight, so im not interested in anything to eat. I ordered a coffee and the waitress brought it over, then said I must order something to eat. I explained im not hungry, and she said something to the effect of 'when I return you need to order or leave'. I got up and left. Never have I experienced something like that before, and I very rarely write reviews. Mind you the place is empty and there are empty seats everywhere. Now I know why. What an awful establishment.
