I loved their sushi and desert options and their miso soup was great. Im so upset that they're closed.

Really. Do not go here. It's my third time eating at this place and I was hoping experience would get better each time. Food is okay. I know what authentic Korean food tastes like and this is just mediocre or below average. Service though... I waited for my food for 30 minutes. After I got done eating, I waited 30 minutes for the bill. Are you kidding me.. I don't know if its because I came by myself or what. But if you are planning to eat at this place and not gonna order bbq. Please save your time and try out different Korean restaurant. This place doesn't deserve your time. Period.

The Although the menu is limited, this business model works for me as less choice makes for easier decision-making. We were there for lunch and were the only ones at the time. We were served by what seemed to be the owners wife; a highly pleasant and humble lady. She explained everything from the food to how to work the cooking area on our table surface. We listened graciously as she did not know we had many years of travel and Asian food experience in SFO while visiting many Korean bistros and restaurants in the SF Bay Area. Koreana BBQ is as real as our west coast experiences. Our only complaint is the length of time the food arrived while being the only patrons. The food was served with large portions of beef and pork belly, and generous amounts of lettuce, onions, zucchini and sides. The experience was very flavorful. It would be highly unfair for anyone to unfavorably title them "Fake Korean" food especially when we witnessed four other Asian families follow after us. The "proof is in the pudding" as they say. We highly recommend you have lunch or dine at Koreana. It was our first visit and we will certainly visit again.
