Might just be unlucky. The overall taste combination was great especially the crispy sandwich and firefly squid sauce. However, the fundamentals need to be brushed up. Soggy chicken skin in a roulade, and worst of all, seriously overcooked orecchiette. With a lack of basic skills on water ratio and technique, pasta is all stuck together make it unable to coat the nice sauce made, as seen in photo. Those who knows how to cook pasta will understand what I’m talking about. The fact that this is blatant yet the chef can cook up some reason that such overcooking is normal is quite appalling. I gave this place all the chances including add ons and wine. Would not come again or recommend. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

A popular French restaurant in Minami-Aoyama. The chef was selected as one of the world's best young chefs by the UK's "FOUR" magazine. It earned a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide Tokyo 2025 and is a popular spot in Minami-Aoyama requiring reservations. It offers courses where you can casually enjoy high-quality ingredients. Service and sommelier knowledge are impeccable, making it safe to entrust them with pairings. However, ordering wine by the bottle carries some risk. There isn't a rigid, standardized wine note for each dish. Even with glass pours, they can offer reasonably good wine suggestions. We found the L'AS in the Guide Michelin category "bib Gourmand" and it was highly recommended to us. Thus our expectations were high. The food is OK. But it is really nothing special. Examples: Two leafs of romanov salad with exactly 3 very dry croutons made from mediocre bread and a little splash of a light dressing is fine, but not worth mentioning. A dish like this can be expected in almost any restaurant. And the main meat dish consisting of two small pieces of pot stewed beef right out of the freezer on to the plate without caring to heat it up befor serving, is a downturn and a real "no no". The L'AS "celebrates" their cuisine, but it is really disappointing for everyone, who happended to be a little familiar with french cuisine. Staff is freindly and the location is nice. But that does not make up for mediocre food. Sorry. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥8,000–9,000
