I rarely ever eat ice cream or gelato, but for some reason La Glacé was calling my name when I walked by. It was a beautiful day and the glow of the neon light must have caught my attention. Then, upon looking at the array of flavors they offered, I got really excited. It's like, somehow I forgot that I like ice cream! I ordered one scoop of the Tiramisu without any real expectations and it blew my mind. Had I stumbled across the most perfect scoop ever? Or had I just forgotten how delicious fresh ice cream actually tastes. I legit think it's the former, because I had never had a flavor that my tastebuds wanted to savor so much. Additionally, the young man working there was having the worst day but yet was so nice to me and all of the other customers. When I saw him scooping my ice cream while also talking to someone, I was worried he misheard that I only wanted one scoop (because it was beyond generous!) When he arrived at the register I asked him if that was one scoop or two, and he said he gives nice customers a little more because he's appreciative of them. That gesture was just so kind and really added to the good vibes I was already feeling. Delicious ice cream, great service...I'm sold!

I went here for an ice cream sandwich after a rough day. I have waited a few days to write this review to make sure that this review really stands. Anyways, I tried the goldmine and the tiramisu ice cream, both were divine. The flavors were so good, and I ordered a brioche ice cream sandwich. I paid, sat down, and watched the young lady go to work. She made the ice cream sandwich and she put it on a plate. At which point, the owner tossed it and made a new one. I didn't see exactly what it looked like, but the new one wasn't really good. To be honest it was not pressed at all, and the brioche bun was a little stale. I sat there and wondered if I should ask them to fix this, but it took so long to get my order, that I figured I'll just take the L and move on with my life. I threw the other half away. I'm attaching a photo so you can see the unpressed sandwich. It wasn't flavorful, and had I know the brioche buns are not going to be made well, I would've just got a cone. I'll leave this review here for now and try again because we all have bad days. If the second time is better, I'll update the review.

I used to love coming here but a month ago or so and it has changed SO much. Not positive change though, they changed from ice cream to this nasty gelato. It tasted like watered-down milk with a bit of flavor and personally, I hated it. Not only that they raised the prices drastically I used to pay 6 dollars for ice cream with sprinkles now I pay 9 bucks??!!! That's ridiculous and another thing the new owner or whatever was so rude to me and my sister. She kept making comments and faces at us. The water dispenser they had also tasted really funky and smelled disgusting. I'm never coming here again the change was horrible. go to freddo's instead they have actual good gelato.
