После посещения Contemporary Jewish Museum зайдите поужинать в этот ресторан. La Société Bar & Café предлагает французскую кухню. Попробуйте хорошую утку, французский луковый суп и свиные отбивные. Постоянные гости отмечают, что в этом месте готовят вкусное крем-брюле, кексы и мороженое. Здесь советуют заказать неплохое шампанское. В этом заведении обязательно закажите хороший кофе.

This has to be the worst dining experience I’ve had. The waiter when I asked ‘what I should I order’ hoping to get a recommendation told me to read the menu. It didn’t stop there .. he can back to the table and said the I ‘wasted’ an hour of ‘his’ time and went to get bill and slapped it down in front of me and promptly walked away. I waited table for many years and live in San Francisco and this will be the first place I would recommend for ‘poor service’, it’s too bad that we were not able to try the food which looked good. We were so appalled by this waiters attitude that we were afraid that he would do something to anything we ordered. That’s unfortunate for the investors in the restaurant that spent countless funds and hours to gain clientele. With many options in the city, I don’t know what got into this waiter mind to forget that this is a service industry. Nevertheless, I will stand by the review based on the treatment I received. The managers and others at the restaurant should know that people read reviews and most importantly, we will spend the money for the experience. There will never be a ‘repeat’ performance! The manager was cordial and tried to save the day but at this point what would you do? We walked out. I will Never go to the restaurant again. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

My daughter and I spent the night in SF so that we could attend the Lion King. Our selection of hotel had to do with a quality restaurant within the walls of the hotel. The Hyatt Regency SOMA Downtown seemed to fit the bill when we found out about La Société Bar & Café. What an excellent choice that turned out to be. First, the service was absolutely impeccable. Roger was our server and was most attentive to responding to questions and watching our timetable to make sure we got to the play on time. He made excellent recommendations. I selected a martini that was outside of my flavor familiarity, which he gladly offered to replace. I didn't want him to go to the trouble - so he brought me another traditional martini on the house. Completely unnecessary, but very thoughtful. I would make it a point to ask for him as my server in the future. On to the food: My daughter and I are steak tartare aficionados. We will often choose a restaurant just because it is on the menu. La Société's did not disappoint, and was probably within the top three I have had over the course of long life :) Paired with the La Société salad and baguette, a delightful start, along with an amuse bouche of gourgeres - which I would order in a heartbeat next time. Delicious! We stuck with the classics. My daughter had the mussells and pommes frites, and I had (gasp!) the pork chop. I have never had a pork chop in a restaurant for fear it would be too dry or poorly seasoned. However, the grilled Berkshire pork chop was highly recommended by Yelp reviewers and (by now) our trusted Roger! I didn't know a pork chop could be so flavorful and tender. And for heavens sake, get the Basque cheesecake. If you haven't had it before, you are in for a treat. Thank you La Société team for a special experience. We'll be back.
