Place was great, love the theme and our food (mole enchiladas and camarones al mojo de Ajo) were both excellent. Will return soon!

My boyfriend and I were so happy to go to a new place to eat, but honestly I was disappointed the food was tasteless no flavor whatsoever. I order the torta Cubana and honestly was blend no flavor no nothing that made me jump and down. I worked in the food industry and first thing you learned is that the food needs flavor..and as a Hispanic I'm very disappointed in your food quality the place is nice but make sure your chef knows how to seasoned the food..we order another dish but made no difference..honestly I wouldn't recommend this place to pricey for what you get..and another thing no horchata wtf and the Aguas frescas were so water tasting and not least make sure your bathrooms are clean I almost puke seeing the toilet seat cover in well...you know what..

Do you want something that feels authentic, looks authentic, and tastes amazing? Well, La Vecindad is the place to be! Not in the shiniest parts of Vegas but once inside you forget you're even in the U.S. at all! Colorful paper cuttings, Frida Kahlo paintings, Dia de Los Muertos decor, and even an ice cream stand just makes you feel like you're transported to a Mexican vacation. And the people...extremely friendly, warm, and great service! I stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon for the BOGO torta deal. I was told I could take it to go and that the free torta would be a ham torta. I went with the pollo (chicken) torta and I ordered a cheese quesadilla with fries kid's meal for my son. I think it was ready in 10-15 minutes. The cheese quesadilla...packed with cheese and good flavor. Nice crispness to each bite. The fries...well I wouldn't say I expected a Mexican restaurant to have good fries. They were just okay, perhaps a little soggy after the drive home. However the tortas...TORTAlly amazing! First off they are huge. When you look at the price you may wonder why but it's because they are massive and packed! Besides the meat, it had tomatoes, avocado, onion, beans, cheese, and some spicy peppers. The bread was super soft and well, each bite was heavenly. They also gave me both red and green salsa. I have seen reviews about their desserts and honestly it was hard to not bring home some ice cream, so I guess another visit will be in order. My personal opinion is that it may not be a place you want to hang out at once it's dark due to surrounding areas, but other than that, visit it all day, every day!
