Disappointing and confusing experience The La Vela restaurant enjoys an enviable position, directly overlooking the sea, and has an elegant and welcoming design, with large windows that allow you to enjoy a splendid view. However, our experience was quite disappointing. We arrived on a Wednesday evening in September, around 8pm, eager to treat our mother, who was there on holiday, to a dinner. We hadn't booked, given that in the previous days the place always seemed rather quiet and with many free tables. Upon arrival, all the tables were set and empty. I asked a girl at the bar if it was possible to have dinner and, to our amazement, we were told that they were “fully booked”. It seemed strange to me, considering the size of the place and the absence of customers. We therefore decided to go elsewhere for dinner, but, curious to understand the situation, we returned after eating. It was around 10.15pm and, as we suspected, many tables were still free and set. My cousin came in to ask for information and the lady at the register very kindly confirmed that they were not at all full, despite having reservations. The whole situation left us perplexed: communication between staff seems to have been unclear or even incorrect. We appreciated the helpfulness of the lady at the checkout, but the experience was now compromised. We hope that similar episodes do not happen again, because the restaurant deserves to be appreciated for its splendid location and, I imagine, also for the quality of the cuisine. However, there is a need for improvement in the reception and management of reservations.

Ho soggiornato due settimane a roseto capo spulico, ed ho scoperto ristorante la vela, che offre anche servizio bar. Ci sono stato quasi ogni giorno, per prendere da un semplice caffè ad un sofisticato aperitivo, preparato con la massima cura nei dettagli da parte del barista,molto professionale e simpatico, ci sono stato oggi (il mio ultimo giorno qui a Marina roseto) e con molto dispiacere non ho trovato il solito sorriso accogliente di Anthony , ma quello di un nuovo barista, per via del suo licenziamento! In bocca al lupo Anthony , spero di risentire il tuo nome, magari sull'olimpo di questo mestiere!

Mangiare praticamente in mezzo al mare e sentirsi quasi sospeso coccolato dal vento della sera guardando un castello federiciano Nn mi era mai capitato! Il ristorante la vela a roseto capo spulico pittoresca cittadina nel mar jonio permette di vivere questa esperienza oltretutto mangiando un ottimo pesce! Come Nn dare 5 stelle! Ambientazione e ottima cucina. Entrando sul lungomare appena subito vicino al castello federiciano a picco sul mare, da vedere e ammirare, si arriva al ristorante. Si trova facilmente parcheggio sul lungomare. Una volta entrati si viene accolti sotto un pergolato che fa da apripista alla zona all'aperto che come anticipato è una scogliera verso il mare tutta bianca pavimentata dove sono stati disposti dei tavoli con una luce su ogni tavolo! L'effetto è meraviglioso e mangiare così è veramente rilassante! La cura del apparecchiatura è prestigiosa! Ogni sotto piatto è di ceramica fatta a mano ognuno diverso dall'altro e anche i tavoli sono decorati uno diverso fall altro con lo stesso stile! Veramente belli! Cucina di pesce con alcune specialità locali ma sopratutto con ricette di pesce tradizionali della cucina italiana. Il mix si antipasri caldi e freddi già vale il prezzo! 15 piatti diversi di vari assaggi di tutti i tipi dalle cozze al polpo alle alici passando per mazzancolle gratinate è carpa cui di spada e tonno. Poi mi sono fatto ingolosire dalla frittura di calamari! Semplice buona ma per niente unta! Poi ho assaggiato un po di pesce spada alla griglia e un polpo alla griglia! Pesce freschissimo è ottimo il sapore nonostante il condimento fosse pochissimo olio e limone! Il tutto accompagnato da un ottimo vino Ciró calabro! Veramente una bella cena rilassante per la mente e goduria per il corpo! Non è proprio dietro l'angolo ma se vi trovate in ferie sulla costa calabra del mar jonio una capatina a questo ristorante va fatta!
