Ok hands down one of my favorite bar experiences in the world and I am known to travel around North America, Asia, and Europe purely to try food and drink places. Lab.kyoto is such a beautiful and unique experience of an elevated avant garde drink experience in a preserved traditional Japanese home. The drinks are out of this world and the bartender was AMAZING. He made me an off menu drink and he asked very thoughtful flavor profiles preference questions. It turned out to be one of my favorite cocktails ever and I can only have it with this specific bartender and this specific bar in Kyoto this is an experience I will think about often for a very long time. Thank you for making Kyoto extra memorable. It is a little hard to find so I recorded the alleyway you have to walk down to find it (but in reverse, as I was leaving haha) Price per person: ¥5,000–6,000 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It’s kind of hard to find but worth it. Find the front of house from the picture then enter the narrow alleyway towards a dead end and therein lies your future unknown drinks. Service was excellent and drinks were even better. Worth the trouble and makes for a good experience. Definitely drop by. Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Fun atmosphere and good service but the drinks were so so tiny for the amount of money spent so the value wasn’t there. I did not like my drink one bit - asked for a creative gin drink similar to a bees knees and it was a tiny simple gin and tonic . Wife had espresso martini which she liked but both thought drinks tiny and too expensive Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
