I have known the Lezard since it opened and I have never been disappointed. The welcome and service are always at the top, with an infectious passion. Over time, the young chef (son of the owner) has gradually asserted himself to become one of the best gastronomic restaurants in the region... The prices have risen a little at the same time, but this remains reasonable considering the quality.

I would give 6 stars if I could! Not sure how to begin my review of this sublime restaurant. I found Le Lézard a bit by chance as my wife and I are staying near Paimpol for a few days. What a find! It is a family owned and run restaurant with the son at age 22 showing an amazing talent for food. They source organic and local ingredients wherever possible. My wife and I started by sharing the cheese plate which had generous portions of 8 cheeses with a few originating from this small corner of Brittany. The selection was excellent. My favorite was a locally produced soft cheese with garlic and chive. We proceeded to the main with my wife having the half portion of lobster with the variation on artichoke while I went for the lamb shoulder. Again, excellent. The lamb was cooked confît and amazingly tender. The lobster was poached in butter and as decadent as it sounds. For dessert we had the deconstructed lemon tart and rice pudding. Once again, amazing. The crumble on the tart was amazingly crunchy and the lemon curd nicely tart. Luc, the proprietor, was very welcoming and after our dinner was happy to share his story and directed us to several of the local producers that supplies the restaurant. It was a wonderful evening and it would be difficult for me to give this place a stronger recommendation.

Excellent food, friendly service. Didn't expect such an outstanding experience in such a small town. Worth the trip.
