I have come several times to Le Pan Quotidien and I will come many more times. Today I went to have a coffee at Velázquez's. In my opinion, a restaurant is much more than the food, it is the experience, the sum of many factors. The food is the most important, but the service goes hand in hand and multiplies the equation. Sara treated me: attentive, fast, friendly and smiling. This is what makes me repeat. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: €1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Disastrous and expensive breakfast, €8.65 for a baguette of bread with tomato, coffee with milk and a pain au chocolat. After more than 15 minutes of waiting, they only brought me the coffee with milk, and after another 25 minutes of waiting, the rest... (more than 40 minutes of waiting for a breakfast THAT DID NOT REQUIRE ANY SPECIAL PREPARATION) I was in a hurry and even though they offered me change my coffee, I couldn't wait another 15 min to have the new coffee, disappointing food quality, €3 for tasteless pain au chocolat. At being a former employee of the franchise to me is a delight to come back anytime to enjoy the delicacy of the products at Le Pain Quotidien. Excellent scones and the coffee was also great. However I must express how uncomfortable was for me when a waitress (for her accent I believe was from Vemezuela, long dark hair-no glasses) she was impolite, the way she talked back was rude and unpleasant. I asked if they served “meriendas” as I brought a friend with me and my friend asked me that, so I wanted her to have an experience to remember, but the waitress replied “we don’t have any offers” and I told her that I wasn’t asking for any offer, she wasn’t replying my question. So I grad a menu from the counter and she told me “that one is in English” assuming I didn’t speak the language, another rude attitude towards a client. I tried to cool things off with her saying I was a former employee and she replied “do you wanna pay now or after being served?”, that’s when I knew this person wasn’t up for to giving us a pleasant time. Other than that, we enjoyed the scone and coffee and my friend was happy with the way I handled the situation. This employee should be talked to by the franchise owners, she has to treat clients with respect. This incident made us only care for coffee and one scone to share as the treatment was not nice to us. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: €1–10 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
