While passing through, I had lunch there and what a nice surprise. A real and warm welcome, displays perfectly filled with beautiful pastries help to whet your appetite. I ordered a delicious tuna and raw vegetables sandwich, 2 chocolate canoli and 1 coffee. When I left I took a baguette. A crusty French toast convinced me to send you my congratulations. I had lost hope with all these industrial products of finding this quality. So yes certainly, it's a little more expensive than elsewhere but it was a pleasure to contribute today to promoting our French artisans. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Rashly, I'd made all manner of hyperbolic statements to hubby prior to his first visit to France about the outstanding quality of French pastries, most especially Pain au Chocolat, which he loves. The Gods smiled on me and delivered Le Refuge Des Saveurs and Madame to save my (and France's) reputation. It was our local boulangerie on our first stop in France. And it was indeed a pearl of a place. Patisserie, viennoiserie of the very first order, coupled with Madame's warmth and effusive charme. Simply outstanding. Merci bcp, Madame. Vous avez transformé notre arrivée par le soleil de votre sourire, votre amitié à deux voyageurs anéantis.
