Beautiful winery, lovely staff, but unfortunately a very disappointing dining experience. The winery itself is absolutely beautiful, and the staff were warm, attentive, and very enthusiastic about introducing us to the property and its wines. Staying at a beautiful Tuscan winery was one of the highlights I had been looking forward to most during our Italy trip. Unfortunately, the restaurant was a major disappointment. We stayed for two nights and had a total of three meals at the restaurant, mainly because we were not driving and there were not many convenient dining options nearby. After trying several dishes over the two days, I have to say that the food simply did not meet our expectations. The prices were quite high, while the portions were surprisingly small. My partner and I spent around €80–90 per meal, yet we still left the restaurant feeling hungry. More importantly, we found the food quite underwhelming in terms of taste. This was especially disappointing because the setting is so beautiful. The atmosphere, the property, and the surrounding Tuscan countryside are wonderful, but unfortunately the food did not match the quality or beauty of the place. Of course, taste is subjective, and this is simply our personal experience. However, considering the prices and the limited dining options for guests without a car, I expected much more from the restaurant. I would happily return to the winery for the beautiful setting, wine, and excellent service, but I would seriously reconsider dining at the restaurant during a future stay.
