Headline: Reliable location in the chain close to the airport. I came here because it was close to our airport hotel and I wanted certain seafood related items in a reliable format. Service: Friendly, reliable, and stuck to the script that I counted on when bringing my tri-generational party to this establishment. Food: Kids menu through to the lobster delivered on quality and flavors. My personal favorite is the lobster ravioli, which I get at Legal because I know I can rely on some large chunks of substantive lobster and a great little kick in the sauce. Look, is this the best seafood restaurant in the region? No. But you know what you are going to get, the service was good, and overall everyone left satisfied.

My problem with Legal Seafoods as a chain is that their price-point for a dinner is too expensive for it to be this average.So why does THIS Legal Sea Foods gets 3 stars from me instead of 2? Primarily, I have no idea how they keep themselves open, but the lack of other customers means that the service here at the Warwick location is fast and attentive.As for the food here, I've always liked Legal's "Clam Chowder," which I ordered during my visit. Legal has a recipe, and it is consistent across all of their restaurants. I like the fact that their chowder has a classic, thin consistency (as opposed to the thick, gloppy roux-heavy chowder that is often incorrectly assumed to represent New England). Also, at this location, the "Wood-Grilled Cajun-style Atlantic Sea Scallops" were nicely seasoned and browned on the grill to a flawless texture, even if I could have done without the slimy spinach and soapy brown rice that accompanied them. I can't complain too much though: the kitchen screwed up in my favor and gave me two extra "Stuffies" (stuffed quahog clams), all of which were authentic for the RI region.Bottom line: there are too many great seafood restaurants in Rhode Island for you to squander a meal here, but if you're in the area, have money to burn, and don't feel like traveling too far, this could work in a pinch.
