This was the absolute best bacon cheese burger I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection. They even grilled the onions exactly how I wanted. Every bite squeezed juiciness out of the homemade burger. This place is off the beaten path, but well worth the adventure. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I love Liberty’s! Every time I get the chance to pass through town and they’re open, I have to stop by. The homemade cheeseburger is a must, and the cheese white gravy fries oh my gosh! so amazing. Everything is always so good. The service is just as great. Everyone there is so kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Truly, truly a great place. We discovered the Liberty Cafe when we decided to take an alternate and a bit slower route home from Mission, TX to San Antonio. We asked Rhonda, who waited on us, what is best on the menu and what she recommended. She said they are known for their homemade burgers. She also recommended Mexican dishes on the menu. We each chose one of the hamburgers with fries. The burgers were outstanding! The French fries were very crispy just how I like them. The burger was so filling that I took half of it home. Lunch tomorrow! I highly recommend giving Liberty Cafe a try when you are in or passing through Freer, TX. And I hope Rhonda is your server. She was great!
