I really wanted to love this place, the sofas/styling and the drinks are great, the bartender is also super nice. The anesthetics are exactly what I was looking for. Liffy II would be perfect as a low-key, intimate bar. The only issue is the music is extremely loud and makes you want to dance. Normally that's not a problem, but there's no dance floor, and the bar layout is set up for quiet conversation and intimate get togethers, it's not a club. Liffy is setup like an intimate speakeasy with the soft seating and layout. If the music volume was half or a bit less than half, so you could actually talk to your group without screaming, this would probably be my favorite place in Inwood. There are plenty of loud, dance-focused clubs in the neighborhood, so it doesn't make sense that a cocktail lounge with beautiful sofas and wonderful anesthetics (including the bartenders classy outfit) would want to ruin that with the entirely wrong soundscape. Hopefully they will lower the music volume, play a more chill and intimate Playlist, and lean into what would make them great and unique in the neighborhood. If they do that I will happily be a regular customer and that would make this a very easy 5 star review Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1

I I used to really love this bar, was a faithful patron for 5 years met great people had a great time, spent thousands of dollars a year. This was until I made a few complaints to The night bartender On or about June of 2019 Her last response to me was in reference to a dirty glass complaint that "You've had dirtier d*(ks in your mouth". I stopped going to the bar and spending money there because of Her slurs to me. How could I give her my money after that?! On or about June 2019 She started and has repeatedly accused me of making a social media post. Ironically, I used to create and control the social media content for the bar. In that capacity I removed many negative posts on numerous platforms. Her slander does not negate the fact that She made a homophobic slur and continues to aledgedy make other racial slurs. I've witnessed her yelling build a wall to Mexican patrons, being down right rude yelling peoples financial balances or declined across the bar. It's January 2020 , 8 months later since I stopped going to the Liffy II Bar However I'm continuing to hear and receive audio transmissions,questions and statements from numerous people of slurs referenced to me, that are made inside of the bar. Ironically I was at another bar two weeks ago before Christmas, and Mindy walked in , I said hello loudly and asked her what she had to say and she ran off. Later that night aledgedy she told people at a bar clients home she cussed me out at the other bar aledgedy followed by more slurs. #Comical Her negative reputation/ interaction precedes her and is well known throughout Inwood, Riverdale area. I'm really tired of answering and defending myself from what she is clearly stating Furthermore in my opinion ,She needs to focus on he job not the aforementioned torts. She needs to stop complaining when we want another drink. Isn't that what a bar is for?? She should also learn to make delicious drinks like Another former bartender (whom she called a NAZI slur and harassed until she quit) she should stop cleaning the bar and ignoring clients wanting drinks as well as over serving certain clients because they have money and influence . By the way the frozen daiquiri machine works she just doesn't want to make them for non regulars. Now those are the facts that all regulars know this. Now Mindy can truly say I made a negative review
