Good restaurant in the Angra shopping mall. We ate carpaccio, salad and ribs. Everything was very tasty. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Today we went to the light house and we didn't have a good experience. We ordered a delicious rib drumstick as a starter, which was perfect! Dry on the outside, crunchy, well filled and tasty. It comes with a spicy cheese-based sauce that is delicious and I recommend ordering the house pepper to accompany it. It is strong but tasty and matches the dish. We ordered the aperol drink which was very well made and an orange juice which was great too. However, when ordering the main dish, I was disappointed. We ordered the abadejo with shrimp sauce which was not good. The fish was not fresh (right in Angra dos Reis), the breading (the shell of the fried fish) was soft and tasteless, the sugo sauce was a bit bland, the shrimp was also old, similar to frozen shrimp from the market. As for the accompaniments: very ordinary rice, pirão that was tasty, well-made farofa and sweet vinaigrette (I liked it because it doesn't contain green peppers but it may divide opinions). Fish dishes in Angra should be the flagship and represent the local cuisine for those who come to visit us and for its residents to make the most of it and be proud of the city they live in. Even more so with the rich marine fauna we have here. Just go to the fish market in the center in the morning and you will always find excellent options. Or at Cais Santa Luzia at dawn, there is always a fisherman selling something. For the price we paid, we should have received something with this level of organization and minimal preparation of stock and dishes. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant, the staff are super attentive and the decor is very tasteful, but the kitchen needs to pay attention to details that make a difference. It is also worth mentioning that the name of the restaurant is light house steak and not light house fish, so it is assumed that the specialty is meat. I always recommend it as one of the best restaurants in the city, but they left something to be desired at Abadejo.
