We celebrated my friend's birthday at Lilian's. The outdoor patio was a beautiful and relaxing setting. The roasted tomato soup with the petite baguette grilled cheese was not typical. The soup was very flavorful with the herb oil. The grilled cheese was made with the most delicious cheese and the baguette was soft and fresh. The breakfast burrito had an abundance of fresh ingredients. Definitely not your "run of the mill" breakfast burrito. The birthday dessert was a tasty touch to end the meal. Thank you for making the birthday celebration a wonderful experience, we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch! Lilian’s in Rancho Santa Fe made for such a fun date night spot. The whole place has a romantic, polished vibe without feeling stuffy. My wife and I started with the spicy tuna crispy rice and honestly could’ve ordered three more - perfectly crispy with that melt-in-your-mouth tuna on top. She went with the wedge salad and spicy rigatoni alla vodka, which totally lived up to the hype, while I had the warm crab and avocado salad that was super fresh and refreshing. The 1/2 roasted chicken sealed the deal for me - hearty, flavorful, and seriously satisfying. Great food, great atmosphere, and one of those dinners you keep talking about after you leave.
