It really did impress. Great food, great ambiance, and exceptional service from the young but competent and dedicated staff. Thanks, Walter, for the limoncello! I’ll be honest, we were very excited to try Little Venice for my sister’s 50th birthday. We have talked about it for awhile, but needed something special to celebrate to make the almost 2 hour drive. We were aware of the pricing ahead of time, so was not caught off guard by the tab at the end of the night. I’ll start by saying the service was wonderful, our waitress and the young man helping her was very attentive to our table and friendly. The wine was excellent, the salad perfect, and the entrees delicious the best part was the banana foster, it was to die for However, I hope it’s ok to leave some constructive criticism. Unfortunately this very pleasant dinner was somewhat spoiled by a very uncomfortable reprimand of the wait staff and/ or cook by the lady that welcomed us at the door. I’m unsure exactly what took place or why she was addressing the situation publicly, but I know that it did shift the atmosphere and caused things to be very tense. The staff and everyone seemed to be on edge from that moment forward. I understand that there are things that need to be addressed at times and sometimes immediately, but I feel that it could have been handled more privately and in a professional manner.
