Pizzeria Cortile is the sort of restaurant that seems deeply enamored with the idea of itself. There’s the imported Neapolitan oven, the self-consciously inventive toppings, and the obligatory burrata dressed in whatever fashionable combination happens to suggest culinary sophistication. Unfortunately, somewhere amid all this artistry, they seem to have misplaced the pizza. For a restaurant so proud of its wood fired credentials, the crust is remarkably floppy and uninspiring. The toppings often sound more interesting than they taste, novelty repeatedly mistaken for sophistication. Then there’s the owners’ refusal to cater a same-sex wedding on the basis of their “personal beliefs,” an interesting contradiction for a restaurant otherwise so eager to appear cultured and progressive. The oven may have come from Naples, but apparently taste and perspective missed the flight.

Wonderful local neighborhood restaurant for delicious food and drinks! We have tried several different pizzas, the salads, arancini (pimento cheese), calzone, and the kids plate always is a hit. They have great cocktails and specials, and some of their pizza specials have been even better than menu favs! Such a great local spot for couples and families! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Me and all the guys from Bigwoodys tree service came here good parking they have something worked out with the church next-door. We were able to park there no problem big trucks trailers. They don’t have a supreme, but I told him to make me their best supreme like pizza and it was amazing. They have hot honey. I recommend great for dipping your crust in crust is good all the way through. I ate the entire pizza. Didn’t try the bread pudding, but I would say it’s really good. I had a Nutella flaky pastry that I absolutely recommend. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
