I just had dinner at this wonderful restaurant for the second time in a row this week, while on a week long holiday in Taranto. What two fabulous dinners they have been! The dishes in ID Locanda Muscettola I tried were all delicious, meticulously prepared and beautifully presented, from the starters through to the dessert (their cheesecake is the best I've had in Italy!). Ivan is a very experienced chef who traveled the world and finding him in a small village in southern Italy was such a gem. The staff is professional and welcoming, and the atmosphere very relaxing, with a nice view on the sea and a soft background music. I hope to have the chance to be back soon!

My table was cancelled by the restaurant 2 days before the booking on a special holiday when all restaurants of the area are fully booked.I booked a table using thefork on a Saturday for the following Friday. On Monday I received a call from the restaurant to let me know that as my booking was on a special holiday there was going to be a fixed menu that I could consult it on the restaurants Facebook page and if I didn’t like it I should cancel the booking of the table. I asked if they could send me the menu to the email associated to the booking so I could read and check it to which they agreed. I never got the email with the menu and on Wednesday evening I received a text from thefork letting me know the restaurant had cancelled my booking.I believe the restaurant could have at least called to let me know the table was going to be cancelled, sent the menu as agreed or even cancel it earlier not 2 days before when it isn't easy to find a table on that date.
