I went for my 2nd time around noon on Saturday, Jun 27th, 2026. I don't live in Ruidoso but I wish I did. Anyway, our group arrived a little before noon and we waited about 15 minutes before being seated at our table. This place is very popular so prepare yourself for a wait if you arrive after 8A. I suppose that we kinda arrived at a good time after most of the breakfast crowd was mostly taken in. I ordered the Popper omelet and it was unique and flavorful. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the filling wasn't laking in quantity. The side of hashbrowns were delicious and equally well made. After finishing the main coarse, my freshly made pancake arrived and it was still very hot. I applied most of the generously supplied melted butter and then covered it with tasty syrup. I shared it with a family member because it was a larger than usual size serving. I must say, I usually skin the pancakes but NOT today, I thought. We ate it happily and eventually departed after spending time enjoying our company in the comfortable atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend The Log Cabin Restaurant whenever you make a trip to Ruidoso, NM. The staff has been sweet, kind and sincere both time I visited and I can't wait to return. Terrible overpriced greasy breakfast. Coffee was watered down and service was disorganized and sketchy at best. The glass of water with Lemon was ok.
