We recently dined at Lone Star Restaurant in Rotorua as a family of five, and overall, it was a delightful experience. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, including rib eye steak and corn chips, which were all delicious. Our dining experience was made even better by our attentive waitress, Abbey, who provided splendid service throughout the evening. However, we did encounter a concerning issue when it came time to pay the bill. We were informed that using a touch card for payment incurs a surcharge of 1.5%, whereas inserting the card would incur no charge. This practice feels unfair and is quite unusual, as many establishments do not impose such fees. It’s something that the restaurant seriously needs to address. Despite this reservation, Lone Star Restaurant is still a good place to visit, offering tasty food and excellent service. Food: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: NZ$100+

Had a great experience at Lone Star Rotorua! The service was fantastic, the food was really nice, and everything was served with a smile. A big shout-out to our waitress, Emma G, who was absolutely lovely and made our visit even better. Thanks, Emma! We’ll definitely be back! ️.
