This had become one of our mainstays when coming to BV, and when we moved to town we were happy it was so close to us. No longer. In the transition to become "Lorenzo's", the food has gone drastically downhill, the staff/service seems ineffective and completely confused, and the prices have risen approximately 30%-40% virtually overnight. The last time we were in - last weekend, 8/12, we waited 20 minutes for water and anyone to take a drink order, then when we did order, the food came out piled willy-nilly on the plate. Flavors were bland - they seem to have lost their spice rack - and we couldn't get refills on our waters/drinks to save our lives. Wait staff were wearing the same latex gloves they used in back of house/kitchen to handle food, handle plate ware, wash dishes, clear tables, pick up dirty dishes and even pick things up off the floor - without ever changing them. I'm afraid that last week's Saturday lunch visit will be our last, and that's really disappointing.

My family has been coming here since they first opened and never had a problem before today. Got a to go order last week and noticed on my bank account statement today that we were grossly overcharged. Called the restaurant and learned the bill should've only costed about 50$. The charge on my bank was for over 70$. In addition, the waitress took my order wrong. I got home an noticed an enchilada instead of flautas, my usual, in the to go box. So, i called today and spoke with the manager Trish about the overage. Trish wanted me to produce a receipt hat was over a week old, as she couldn't find our transaction. It seems to me, a manager should have 2 or 3 ways to track past orders, but she claimed she needed proof from me. I told her the customer is always right. Her response was, "you'd be surprised." Well, I was surprised. At the poor customer service I was receiving. Trish argued with me until I finally told her i could show her the charge via my bank statement . I ended up taking a pic of the transaction and texting it to Trish. She called back within 5 mins and provided a pic she found of my receipt. On there, I noticed I was charged gratuity and a tip I did not authorize by a waitress whom has since been let go. Trish was apologetic and said she would make it right. Yet, im already bummed and doubt she will make me feel better, after initially not taking my word. We've spent 1000s there over the years. Now i will not spend another cent. Instead of telling ppl how great Trish and Los Girasoles is, im telling them how poorly i was treated. Shame. U lost good customers and more potential customers over 25$$. Expensive learning experience for Trish and the business! Im a long time local and will never forget. Trish did state my card would be credited the 25$ for the discrepancy.
