Their Bulalo taste above average. Sadly, the taste of the food does not justify the price. We ordered Caldereta, Tuna Belly, Squid rings and Liempo but none of them were good.
Squid rings were no longer crispy and warm. The coating taste bland.
Liempo is not tender and taste sweet but that may be their recipe.
Tuna belly is too salty and didn’t seem fresh since tongue went itchy right after eating.
Caldereta is sweeter than spicy.
Staff might be short since the end area where most guests are has no attendant available so i had to look for them to be attended to.
Food was served too long and not fresh.
Bill was not yet ready when asked for. Still took time to be given when asked for.
Will no longer eat here if i have a choice.
M quite disappointed though! There were just 2 layers of buco while the rest were sweet milky taste like custard. Too sweet for my liking and inadequate buco. Better if they layered the buco and custard alternately.
Would find another buco pie on my next trip to Tagaytay!
