We booked evening meal through a Secret Escapes offer. The food was good and the service was efficient. However the breakfast the following morning was very disappointing. I chose poached eggs on toast: one piece of toast with egg and half a tomato. No further toast available. Then I went for some fruit and the two oranges were mouldy and the bananas were black. When I mentioned to the waitress she did remove them but did not replace with any fresh fruit. Very poor selection of breakfast.

Cancelled our booking without warning. Waited until we arrived to tell us they had a private function from 3pm. Not impressed will not be going back.

Restaurant almost empty so lacking any kind of atmosphere. Service was however very friendly and efficient and welcoming. Prawns for starter were tasteless. The other meals were OK but nothing to write home about. Felt a bit rushed at the end as we were told that the kitchen shut at 9pm so we had to get pudding orders in asap. Probably would not rush back and get the feeling that the restaurant caters mainly hotel guests.
