The Mistal kitchen always has delicious food and amazing tray bakes. The food is mainly vegetarian friendly and comes in good portion sizes. The venue does have some carparking and a little outdoor seating, but also has indoor seating. This can sometimes feel a bit cramped but adds to the atmosphere. Because it is a small place service can be a bit slow at times but is always pleasant. It is cannily situated so it can be at the beginning or end of a walk around Chevin country park. Or even in the middle! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Just for the record we are 100pc veggie/vegan, you may see a tasty sausage on the Mistal Breakfast plate but it will definitely be plant-based. We are a family business and my brother-in-law Dave ran a legendary veggie cafe/restaurant, the Cheerful Chilli, here for many years before retiring and we have simply carried on the tradition at the Mistal Kitchen.
