This was not my first visit to the restaurant, and I still stand by my previous opinion that it is a distinguished Lebanese restaurant with excellent dishes, presented in a professional and creative way. However, unfortunately, my most recent experience was extremely disappointing in terms of reception and guest handling. After traveling from Jeddah to Riyadh with my family, we decided to dine at the restaurant. Among my guests were an elderly person and a person with special needs. I arrived approximately 20 minutes before our reservation time, but the receptionist refused to let us in and asked us to walk around the area until the reservation time. When I explained that waiting for a long period was not suitable due to the presence of an elderly guest and a person with special needs, no appropriate solution was offered — not even a waiting chair. Instead, I was asked to wait outside the restaurant, with the explanation that our presence was causing congestion at the entrance. When I objected to this, the receptionist responded in an inappropriate manner and said that he would cancel the reservation if we did not want to wait. I was truly surprised by this attitude, especially since the receptionist is the first point of contact and the face of the restaurant. This role should reflect hospitality, professionalism, and respect for guests. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled negatively affected the overall experience and even impacted the atmosphere around the rest of the staff who were providing service. It was a very unfortunate experience and has made me seriously reconsider visiting the restaurant again in the future. Good food alone is not enough if it is not accompanied by respect, proper hospitality, and professional guest handling — especially when elderly guests and people with special needs are involved. Thank you, for an experience that unfortunately highlighted a clear weakness in professionalism when dealing with guests and visitors.
