I came across this place after the lake and the Cod burger so good, fries, just like back in the day. Love to see these kinda places are still around. Knowing that the food is cooked properly and atmosphere reminds me of the Canada I grew up in. Thank God for places like this. The inside has that old barn aesthetic complete with musty smell and wooden floors. The outdoor patio is a nice size, shaded and dog friendly and looks out into the equestrian centre. The service was friendly. I think it’s the atmosphere that must be propping up the ratings because it sure wasn’t the food. We ordered burger and a chicken caesar salad. Chicken was dry and the salad was flavourless. The burger was bland. The prices seemed very high for the quality. Taco Tuesday might be a better bet food and value wise.
